Dear OKX Users,
We're excited to introduce significant upgrades to our Spot Cost Price functionality, designed to improve your trading experience. Below are the key enhancements:
1. New Manual Cost Price Adjustment Feature
What's New:
- Now you can manually modify the cost price of your assets
- Changes instantly update your P&L calculations
- Future spot trades will use your adjusted price as the new baseline
Example:
If you hold 1 BTC at $60,000 cost price and transfer another BTC from funding account:
- System automatically calculates average price
- You may then manually reset cost price to $61,000
- All 2 BTC will reflect the new $61,000 baseline
๐ Access: Trading Page > Positions & Assets > Cost Price
2. Historical Data Migration
We're migrating pre-August 29, 2024 cost price data with these possible outcomes:
| Scenario | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Empty โ Value | System auto-calculated historic price |
| Empty โ Remains Empty | No historic cost data available |
| Existing Price โ New Different Price | Reflects pre-August 29 trades (adjustable manually) |
3. Upcoming P&L Display Changes
Starting October 21, 2024:
- Asset page P&L displays will migrate to trading accounts
- View accurate cost prices and yields exclusively under:
๐ Spot Trading > Assets
or individual coin detail pages
Why?
- Ensures calculations only consider relevant trading account assets
- Funding account balances no longer affect cost price metrics
Key Benefits
โ More precise cost tracking
โ Flexible manual adjustments
โ Cleaner interface organization
