Travala.com has announced its support for the upcoming AVA token swap on the Ethereum (ERC-20) network. This transition marks a significant upgrade for AVA token holders, ensuring smoother interoperability and enhanced utility. Below are the key details and procedures for the swap:
Key Dates and Procedures
- Swap Period: Begins Monday, 28 August at 03:00 AM UTC
During this time, deposits and withdrawals of AVA tokens on the BNB Beacon Chain (BEP-2) and BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20) will be temporarily suspended for approximately 24–48 hours. - Platform Impact:
Users will be unable to access their Travala.com platform wallets or the AVA Smart Program during the swap. All technical aspects of the swap will be handled automatically by Travala.com for users holding AVA in these wallets.
Post-Swap Token Details
Token Naming:
- Existing AVA tokens on BEP-2/BEP-20 will be renamed AVAOLD.
- The new Ethereum-based tokens will retain the AVA ticker.
- Swap Mechanism:
Users holding AVAOLD (BEP-2 or BEP-20) in their Travala.com wallets or the AVA Smart Program at the time of the swap—or those who deposit AVAOLD afterward—can exchange them for the new AVA (ERC-20) tokens at a 1:1 ratio. - Withdrawals:
Only the new AVA (ERC-20) tokens will be available for withdrawal after the swap. AVAOLD tokens will no longer have utility and cannot be withdrawn.
